G’day Gamers, hope you’re doing well!
Well it’s been a long time coming but I can finally announce the Argosa Emergent Play Sandbox will be launching in November 2026 (most likely final week of Nov).

It will include at least the following:
- Matte Box with hexcrawl drop table on the top inside lid, and improv loot generator on the bottom inside lid.
- Outlander’s Guide – 30 page softcover (setting History, Cultures, Sorcery, Gods, Laws, Calendar, Lexicon, Geography, PC options).
- Bronze Book of Yeg – GM book – 100+ page softcover (Four cities, Outpost generator, Tavern generator, NPC generator, 50 NPCs, Contacts rules, Faction generator, City adventure generator, Outlands generator, Encounters by terrain/location, Region events, Monsters, Monsters by theme, expanded Treasure rules [by culture, writings, jewellery, trade goods, special metal, precious stones], Optional rules).
- Adventure Tome – 25 adventure sites or scenarios – 100+ pages, set in specific hexes/cities but most are easily adapted to other locations as desired.
- NPC Generator Deck – 70 cards, humancentric, that you can build instant NPCs with by laying out four cards to generate four traits, and then placing the portrait of the fifth card on top.
- A1 Colour Hex map, and alternate A3 Parchment Hex map (more old school, with less details – pics below).
- Five A3 City Maps – Crow’s Keep, Vorngard, Melek, Dol-Karok, and the Lost Roads (of Dol-Karok).
- Five A3 Adventures – Primarily for solo play but adaptable to groups: Whitestone Tower, City of the Ape God, Vault of the Moon Worm, Eye of the Serpent… and one more, er, still to be written! (I already have the awesome map however; more on this soon).
- Fifteen plastic Skull Pawns (like chess pawns, but with skulls) to use as generic monsters/NPCs. There will be 12 black ones, and 3 red ones (for bosses, casters, etc). It’s possible we might swap these for flippable tokens, or 19mm dice with six monster theme icons… still experimenting, but presently I’m liking the skull pawns the best.
- Offset Print Run of the 2024 Tales of Argosa Hardcover, as well as the Oracle Dice (w/Activity die), and Deck of Signs (ie everything in the first kickstarter). The ToA Public Playtest doc is free on DTRPG and is about 90% of the final book (there were some rules tweaks, and art changes etc, but it will give you a very good idea of how ToA plays).

Naturally I’ll be posting more details & previews soon – but I wanted to get something up on the website as a bit of an overview. If you’d like more now however, I had a great chat with Adrian about it all on Dungeons & Dyslexia the other day 😀
The pre-launch page is here if you’d like to sign up for a reminder at launch.
As always my friends – thank you for all your support & interest. Have a great weekend and all the best for now.
Is the A3 map poster paper, cloth or thick cardboard like boardgame gameboards?
